Robin of Lockslay Book 1
Robin of Lockslay, The Time of Elvens ch 3

Across the lands was the human relm, and there was the castle. it sat at the top of a high mountain overlooking everything. The human castle was almost a sand color not a white like the elvan castle. Its towers and large pillars made it look like it was apart of the mountain, just sitting there waiting to jump out at you. In the middle room was the King and Queens chamber…and although the cocks had crowed neither of them wished to move from eachothers arms.
King William slowly turned twords his young queen and moved the hair from her face gently. “good day my love.” he said to her sweetly. she opened her eyes slowly and looked at his foresty green eyes, those eyes were so deep and wise. “hello” she said. “today is the day my sweet, we have the elvan ball to attend to.” “oh please, the elvan ball is such a joke.” she said turning over and covering her exsposed body. “come my love, the princess has asked you and me to go and she may have the key to their hearts if she has asked us.” he said kissing her sweetly on the neck. “but William, it may also be a trap.” “yes and that is why we are taking all of our knights and with many on the way so that incase of an attack on us we may be able to flee” Queen Josoline got up and looked at her love. “why do you think this princess is so interested in us?” “my love i cannot say but she must love something about other creatures to do so.” “i hope your right William, other wise we may be walking to our deaths. ” “oh please josoline. we wont be walking, we will be in a carrage!” he laughed. she laughed back at him and kissed him gently. “but come back to bed my love just one more time!” she said exstending her hand to him.  he smiled , “my love the cock has come and went and now we must get ready it will take but 2 days to get to the elvan kingdom!”  she huffed and smiled…”i do hope we have a son…” she said smiling… “yes a son, to fight and yell and play war with! and one day he will choose a beautiful wife just like you!” “no! he will not fight!” “my love a king must know how to fight! even the elders told us that!” “my son will not fight, he will learn to love and study the art of magic and healing, like my father had taught me.  “josoline, ” he said comming onto his knees infront of her. “we will have two sons and a daighter….one son for me and one for you and the daughter to love between the both of us!” “alright my love…”she said smiling.
the king kissed his love and said “ill see you at the carrage by night fall and we shall ride away!”
she shewed him away as she shut the door behind him. she could hear him singing as he went to his side of the castle. He had always loved her and she him but as she touched her belly she realized my son…a son…..you will be a fighter and a lover. Both of us, equilly. and then she rushed to start her day. the 3 ladies in waiting came into her room and were getting the water for her bath as well as her dresses were being packed along with her other belonings. she was going to wear something that was brown and gold with some yellow ribbons to match her king. she admired the embrodery on the bodice and smiled. “Phillipe does do such devine work doesnt he?” she said to her ladies. “yes my queen.” they all said in unison. sometime josoline felt like she was talking to a wall, well 3 walls which all seamed to say the same thing and she missed her lover already. such conversations they would have and such arguments they would get into about the stupidest things, like which horses were they going to have at the front of their ceirrage which was always the same, but still they argued.
she took her bath quitely and her three ladies took care of her hair and gossiped about the cook and the seamstress and how the baby of this woman wasnt the actuall son of this man and such but josoline tired of gossip, she loved stories of love and passion and remembered when William was courting her. he would write her such letters and send them to her, oohhh the stories of such love she would scream for more but always remain reserved in his prescence. how he told her of the story of cinderella, and sleeping beauty. she loved such stories.
They all met in the dinning hall for one last feast before they started their journey. Six knights sat around a large round table, along with the Queen and the King. The meal was of a great dear that was killed by the king that day. “this is a good sign sire!” said Mendal, the red haired  dworph knight. “yes! it means we will have a great journey and be prosperouse!” the king said. “oh yes King William always thinks we will be prosperouse! just like when we were little right great king!” said Sir Richard, his black hair and green eyes just like the king. “oh come off it richard! youll find your princess one day dont be so bitter!” said king William. “yes richard has had so many woman you would think he was some enchantress come to earth to take the lovely hearts of all of them….” laughed Sir Isic with brown hair and brown eyes. they all laughed and then the queen spoke “yes even as a young boy he had the hearts of so many girls.” ” including yours your Majestly?” said sir lucic form the shadows. and the queen smiled “no- i was always in love with our King.” “yes tough luck with that one!” said Sir Peter with black hair and brown eyes. they all laughed again except for Sir Lucic, he just watched from the distance. The Queen looked at him watching them and it reminded her of a halk flying over its prey, stalking its prey. his golden hair seamed almost like the sun and his eyes were as black as night. His eyes were almost like dolls eyes, dead and empty but she knew there was much going on inside his head. she had heard him speak of much loss in his home and how much he wished to be fighting along side such a great king but she couldnt help but feal sickened by his words. He was a snake in the reeds and she knew one day they would step on him and he would strike back at them, every one knew it but he had saved the kings life once and that made him a knight, nothing could be done….
They soon exited the hall and the queen was put into the carrage with her king and the men were all sattled and they rode twords their fate, twords the elvan kingdom.
